What we collect
Account details (name, email, password hash), the documents you upload and their translations, order and payment metadata (handled by Stripe; we never see full card numbers), and standard server logs.
Why we collect it
To produce, certify and deliver your translation; to operate the verification registry; to support you; to meet legal and accounting obligations; and to prevent fraud.
Service providers
We use U.S.-hosted infrastructure and service providers for payment processing, email delivery and the production of translations. Providers process your data only on our instructions and under contractual confidentiality obligations. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Verification registry
The public record for a certificate contains only the certificate number, issue date, document type, language pair, page count, reviewer name and the PDF fingerprint. It never includes names, dates or any content from your document.
Retention
Source documents and translations are retained for 90 days after delivery to support corrections, then deleted unless you ask us to keep them. Certificate records are retained indefinitely so recipients can verify them. You may request earlier deletion of source files at any time after delivery.
Your California rights
California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Email certify@linguaseal.com with the subject "Privacy request". We respond within 45 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to documents is limited to staff involved in your order. Certified PDFs are downloadable only from the account that placed the order.
